Sonja Trauss has been organizing pro-housing renters since 2014. She co-founded California Renters Legal Advocacy and Education Fund with Brian Hanlon in 2015, and has been enforcing state housing law ever since. She is the director of YIMBY Law.

In addition to his work at YIMBY Law, Rafa serves on the board of Recovery Cafe Santa Cruz, a non-profit support and service organization. He helped launch the affordable housing advocacy organization, Housing Santa Cruz County. Rafa also works with Coastal Commons Land Trust and the Homeless Action Partnership.
